How to put on and use the solly baby wrap with a newborn 🥰 baby wearing with a wrap is wayyyyy easier in these early weeks before graduating up to a more structured carrier (for us, we use a Tula Explore carrier when they get older) #sollybaby #babywearing #sollywrap #babyregistry #babymusthaves #motherhood #velcrobaby

If you have a newborn, a Solly Wrap is the best way to wear your baby. But when you’re a new parent, everything is new and frankly, kind of intimidating. My baby is now almost 4 months old and I now feel like a total pro at the Solly, but when I first started out, it def took a bit of practice. A lot of tutorials out there go way too fast so I wanted to create one for you that is nice and slow! Here are the steps plus a few additional tips: PUTTING THE WRAP ON: -Locate the tag and use that as th

Intimidated by the wrap? We get it. Figuring out how that long piece of fabric becomes a safe, supportive place for your little one can feel overwhelming at first. But the learning curve isn’t as steep as it looks. We’ve found that ✨six✨ practice ties is the magic number for most parents to feel comfortable and confident (which, let’s be honest, is a lot less than it takes to master a one-handed diaper change). And if you ever want a little extra support, our on-staff babywearing educator is ama

Our No. 1 most-asked question: How do I keep baby from loosening in the wrap? The answer: Keep it high tight. TIGHT: When tying on your wrap, you should be able to close your eyes and feel the wrap touching each part of your body; midsection, shoulders, and waist. Nothing should feel overly tight or cinched, and nothing should feel loose or floppy, either. Just equally snug and touching your body without any slack. HIGH: Then, when you're ready to tie your double knot, be sure to tie it at your

✏️ Ready to unwrap? In today’s Solly 101, we’re breaking down how to safely and smoothly take baby out of the wrap—with the tails touching the ground. Hint: The first step isn’t untying your double-knot! Think of it like peeling an onion. With one hand always supporting baby, start by pulling down the horizontal pass with the tag. Next, peel away the cross-passes one at a time. Once baby is free, lift them straight up and out. Then take the fabric at your waist and pull it up and over your head.
