🎯 Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE): Smarter Training Ever wondered how hard you’re really pushing during a workout? That self-assessment has a name – Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE)! 💡 Here’s what you need to know: 🔹 RPE is a subjective scale (1–10) to measure effort. 🔹 It adapts to daily factors like fatigue, motivation, and even the weather. 🔹 Benefits: Less pressure, smarter adjustments, and better communication with your coach! 🎬 rate of perceived exertion vs heart rate as a training metric. Yesterday I was tagged into a thread / discussion in a running forum to offer my thoughts around this question that had some heated debate going on. Rather than losing context with text replies I shared my thoughts in this video. Thought I’d share it publicly as well. Would love to know people’s opinions on thoughts on the same Q👍🤔 | The Endurance Physio

Understanding your Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) is a great way to up your game. Our goal tonight was to work at a level 2 and 3 while modifying 6 fun movements by adding in speed, weights, steps and hills. Nothing too intense, simply a steady 30 minutes of work. #bellevilleontario #fitness #groupfitness #exercise #healthylifestyle #fitlifestyle #outdoors #parkworkout #zwickspark #rateofperceivedexertion #cardio #cardioworkout | RightTrack Fitness

Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) is a powerful tool for personalizing your workouts, especially in strength training. By using RPE or its counterpart, Reps in Reserve (RIR), you can match your training intensity to your current fitness level and goals, ensuring optimal progress without overloading your body. RPE is a subjective measure ranging from 1 to 10, reflecting how challenging a set feels. For instance, an RPE of 10 means maximal effort, while an RPE of 7 indicates you could perform 3 mor

RPE. Stands for rate of perceived exertion. You might see training plans use this terminology. It’s essentially a substitute for using HR to measure effort level. It’s measured out of 10. 1 being the lowest. I’ll caveat all this by saying you shouldn’t use this unless you’re an experienced runner. Because it is a completely subjective measurement. The easier the run, the lower the RPE. 1-2 is a very light warm-up, or essentially walking. 3-4 is an easy run. 5 is a ‘steady’ pace. 6-7 is a pace yo
